I also went through a phase last year where I printed out Photoshop drawings and touched them up with ink. Makes no sense, right? Yeah, I’m just super logical like that. Original drawing done in February and touch-ups in, September? Probably? Maybe one day I’ll even get around to colouring it.

Incidentally, it was that exact photo that Michelle and I ogled and declared we would one day take pictures of that level of awesome right before we went out and took this picture. True story.

2//52. (I started this last night so it counts as being drawn during the second week of 2012 shh shhhh it’s all good.) Mila! Because I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of drawing pretty faces, and she clearly qualifies. Okay, so I seem to have some sort of aversion to the concept of ‘easing’ back into drawing. My drawing modes are ‘ten minute scribble then I cry because it’s horrible and I assume I can’t draw anymore’, or ‘six hours of neurotic perfectionist attention to detail’ (even when I intended this to only be a rough sketch??). I guess it could be worse? On an artisty note, while this isn’t quite fully realistically coloured, I consider it a huge personal improvement that I painted it this way in Photoshop and not in grayscale and I didn’t have to edit the fuck out of my original colours to get it like this or anything. I just had a decent palette from the start which is rare for me. Yay! View high resolution
